Applications are now open for the next round of MDFA Research Grants.
A total grant pool of up to $1,000,000 will be available for projects commencing in 2021.
MDFA has also announced the Grant Family Fund, an additional new stream of grant funding to early-career researchers for ‘blue-sky’ research in the field of macular disease, offering a total grant pool of up to $100,000.
MDFA has committed more than $4.1 million to world-leading Australian researchers since 2011, supporting research to reduce the incidence and impact of macular disease and ultimately to find cures.
Australian researchers can apply for funding from 8 October 2020 – World Sight Day – until 31 January 2021, before the successful applicants are announced in May 2021.
