Lorin was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, and, with only 10% sight, was declared legally blind at age four. Lorin faced enormous challenges of blindness growing up including the low expectations and pessimism of others. It soon became obvious, however, that he possessed incredible strength, resilience and determination. It is these qualities that have driven him to become an award-winning musician, best-selling author and record-breaking cyclist.
